Programs for all ages & skill levels
All-Star Competitive Cheer
We offer all-star competitive teams for ages 5 and older, and for levels 1–6. All-Star competitive cheerleaders are placed on teams based on age and skill level. We have teams for everyone, zero experience required. These athletes generally practice twice per week for most of the season. Our competitive teams compete at competitions during the winter and spring months.
U12 Prep Divine
U12 All-Star Prep Divine: All-Star Prep programming is a great way to be introduced to competitive cheer, but with less cost and commitment. Our prep team practices twice per week and competes at local competitions in winter and spring. They are scored by judges and ranked against other teams.
Recreational Tumbling
WHC periodically offers recreational tumbling classes on a coach and gym availability basis. We do offer private tumbling for all athletes, even non-WHC athletes. If you’re interested in taking a private tumbling lesson, please contact us for more information.
Recreational Teams
Rally & Rise is a recreational cheer program that will run for 15 weeks from September 9th–January 20th.
You can purchase as a session for $250 + tax or drop in to a class when you can for $17.50 + tax. Rally is for those aged 4-7 & Rise is for those aged 8-12

Recreational Tumbling
Group class teaching fundamentals of tumbling, spatial awareness and body control that will run for 12 weeks on Monday evenings from September 9th–December 16th.
You can purchase as a session for $149 + tax or drop in to a class when you can for $15 + tax. Tiny Tumblers is for those aged 3-5 & Tumbleweeds is for those ages 6-9.

U8 Novice Heart
Our U8 Novice Heart team is semi-competitive. These athletes are ages of 5–8 and practice once per week. Heart performs at local competitions and are judged by the judges, but are not ranked against other teams; they receive a rating based on their performance. Heart is a great way to be introduced to competitive cheer, but with less commitment and cost.
Open Gym
WHC offers Open Gym for all athletes throughout the year. Dates/times are announced as they become available. First-time attendees or non-WHC athletes must sign a waiver. Open Gym is self-directed tumbling and cheer-orientated with coaches overseeing.
Learn to Cheer
Our popular Learn to Cheer & Tumble program is offered 4+ times per year. This program is designed to give athletes an introduction to cheerleading and tumbling without the commitment of a full-year program.
ParaCheer–Adaptive Abilities
WHC is pleased to help foster the growth and development of athletes of all abilities. WHC is the home to the 2022-2024 Adaptive Abilities Unified team selected to represent Canada at the 2022-2024 ICU World Cheerleading Championships. We have a mix of athletes from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia who come together to form this team. WHC is committed to inclusivity, as per our Mission, Vision, and Values.
Travel Teams
For the 2024-25 season, WHC will be travelling internationally to 3 different events:
Cheersport Nationals in February 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia
The IASF Cheerleading Worlds in April 2025 in Orlando Florida
The Summit Championship in May 2025 in Orlando, Florida

Try-Out Process
Tryouts occur in June of each year, although it’s never too late to join a West Hali team! Contact us to come in for a gym tour and a quick one-on-one assessment with a staff member to be placed on a team at any time.
