Programs for all ages & skill levels
All-Star Competitive Cheer
We offer all-star competitive teams for ages 5 and older, and for levels 1–6. All-Star competitive cheerleaders are placed on teams based on age and skill level. We have teams for everyone, zero experience required. These athletes generally practice twice per week for most of the season. Our competitive teams compete at competitions during the winter and spring months.
Try-Out Process
Tryouts occur in June of each year, although it’s never too late to join a West Hali team! Contact us to come in for a gym tour and a quick one-on-one assessment with a staff member to be placed on a team at any time.
U8 Novice Heart & U12 Novice Divine
Our U8 Novice Heart team & U12 Novice Divine is semi-competitive. These athletes are ages of 5–8 or 8-12 and practice once per week. Heart & Divine perform at local competitions and are judged by the judges, but are not ranked against other teams; they receive a rating based on their performance. Heart & Divine are a great way to be introduced to competitive cheer, but with less commitment and cost.
Tumbling
WHC offers a variety of tumbling class options from private and semi-private lessons to group classes. Dates and times are announced as they become available. Tumbling classes are open to members and non-members for registration.
Learn to Cheer
Our popular Learn to Cheer & Tumble program is offered 4+ times per year. This program is designed to give athletes an introduction to cheerleading and tumbling without the commitment of a full-year program.
ParaCheer–Adaptive Abilities
WHC is pleased to help foster the growth and development of athletes of all abilities. WHC is the home to the 2022-2025 Adaptive Abilities Unified team selected to represent Canada at the 2022-2025 ICU World Cheerleading Championships. We have a mix of athletes from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia who come together to form this team. WHC is committed to inclusivity, as per our Mission, Vision, and Values.

“Confidence! Acceptance! Inclusion! As a mom to an athlete with a disability, I know my daughter is celebrated, protected, encouraged, and loved. Her growth as an athlete is fostered through leadership and personal growth opportunities. I know my daughter is gaining life skills, friends, and a sense of belonging she has never felt before. It’s been a wonderful investment in her!”
