Hi WHC family!

 

Wow what a day yesterday! We are so pleased with the talent in our gym.  We think this process went very well, and doing placements for our returning athletes first gave us an opportunity to really see what our athletes can do, and we’re blown away. So proud of everyone who came out yesterday to show off their amazing skills! Season 9 is going to be amazing, and we just can’t wait to get started.

Placements make-up day is Tuesday, May 24 at 6:30-7:30 pm for anyone who didn’t get to the placements yesterday.

 

The new information package for 2016-2017 can be found on our website in the Parent Portal section. Password is westhalilife. If you prefer I email it to you, just let me know.   FYI – the prices have not increased since last year, with the exception of youth now being the same as Junior/Senior/Open, and the parent team prices have slightly increased to be more on par with other performance teams.

 

Uniforms: If you are not returning to WHC, or your uniform no longer fits you, you can bring your uniform into the office and we will hold it for swap night. We will assign numbers in the sequence of which we receive uniforms, and that is the order you can go through what’s available in the swap. For example, if you’re the first person to return a uniform (and require a different size), you’re the first person given opportunity to go through what’s available at the swap night.  If you’re not returning to WHC and would like to sell your uniform, we can take it, and hold it until the swap in September, and pay you then for it (if it gets sold). Used uniforms will be sold at the swap for $80 for a skirt and $150 for the top (cash at the swap).

 

For the Mini/Tiny uniforms, the second-hand price is $25 for the top and $25 for the skirt (cash at the swap).

 

Team Lists: The team lists, coaches, and associated schedule will not be posted until a few days after the May 28thplacements. We need to evaluate all the athletes before dividing them into teams. Be patient, relax, and we’ll let you know when the team lists are up!

 

Our NEW athlete placement Sessions are May 28th.  Please pass the message on to your friends, pick up some flyers in the office to hand out, and help spread the word to grow our Orange Family! If your friend is nervous to attend placement sessions without you, you’re more than welcome to attend with them! In fact, it would be super helpful to have several of our returning athletes at each placement session, in order to be able to help them learn the new skills.   Click here to register!

Up next is Bring a Friend week! Everyone should come and bring at least one friend (the more the better). Trying to prove to your bestie that cheer is harder than it looks? Bring her/him. Just looking for a place to hang out this week? Bring your friends!!  Want to just come to hang out with your awesome teams just one more time before the new season starts? Then come on out!!

WHC Year End Banquet: Our year-end awards and celebration banquet is planned to be held on Saturday, June 11 at 11 am at the Prospect Road Community Centre. More details to follow.
