Notices for February 9, 2016

Dear WHC Families:

First of all – THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for everything you’ve done to make Cheer Blast the success it was. We LITERALLY could not put on the competition without the love, blood, sweat, and tears (literally) of every single volunteer’s contribution, big or small. We love you for it!

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing coaching staff. It is so rewarding to see each and every one of our teams shine with confidence – thanks to each and every coach, tumbling coach, and coach in training. You guys rock!

Coaches will be discussing judge’s comments and scores with the athletes this week, and we are encouraging parents to participate in the discussion. The information/feedback is helpful to explain any changes that may be made to the routines over the next few weeks as a result of feedback received!

InnovationWonder, and Motivation put on some truly wonderful performances! The parents were super fun to watch and our budding Innovation & Wonder kids are proof our future generation of cheerleaders are in great hands!

March Break Camp: Still lots of room in our March Break camp!! Please help spread the word: You can register for the whole week or just certain days. Cost is $45/day or $200 for the full week, HST included. There’ll be field trips (included!).

Bug Bite concerns: FYI that there was one individual who came to us with concerns of possible bug bites resulting from being in the cheer gym. Upon immediate consultation with a public health professional (CIPHI), it was advised that it is incredibly unlikely that bed bugs would bite children in a well-lit area while moving around. Regardless, we quickly enlisted the services of an expert ( and they have validated that we are in fact, 100% bug free, and our current practice of vacuuming 2-3 times per week and periodically steam cleaning the carpets is more than sufficient to keep little critters away. If anyone has any questions/issues/concerns, please advise either myself, Jana, or Ashley.

Tax Receipts: Anyone requesting tax receipts for the 2015 cheer season, please email and also, and We will do our best to get them to you as soon as possible.

Home Mats: We still have home mats available for $152 plus tax. They are in stock in the gym, limited quantity and we have advertised to all other cheer and gymnastics clubs. If you would like one, please put your request in with as soon as possible.

That’s it for this week!

Erica, Jana, Ashley
