Dear WHC Families
Closed Practices: This week (September 28 to 30) will be closed practices. Parents are not permitted to stay and watch practices for these dates. The exceptions are for the Sunday teams (Innovation, Wonder & Prodigy). Team Moms are expected to stay in the kitchen and in the office, and parents who are making payments are asked to do so at the beginning or end of practice if possible. We thank you for your cooperation.
Parent Team: For those of you who came out to try the parent team, awesome job! Next practice is Sunday at 1 pm. Come on out and give it a try!
Uniform Swap Day: Special thanks to Caren Yeomans and all the team moms who made the swap day successful! Many of our new athletes were able to get uniforms at a discount price 🙂
Uniform Sizing Day (new uniforms): Total Spirit Cheerleading will be visiting our gym on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 7 – 10 pm to size all the athletes who require the purchase of a NEW uniform. This includes our tiny and mini cheerleaders (Wonder, Innovation & Prodigy). Older athletes please try to come after 7:30, so that the 7-7:30 time slot can be used by the younger kids. Please be sure to wear a sports bra/tank top and spandex shorts, as there are many children being sized, and there are only two bathrooms to get changed in. It goes much smoother if you are dressed in a way that you can quickly slip on a uniform top or bottom. If you are sized for a new uniform, you will then receive an invoice for the amount owed. If you are unable to attend the uniform sizing night, your team mom will contact you and will help you figure out a size based on the sizing chart, and other similar sized athlete’s uniforms.
If you order a new uniform from Total Spirit, you will be billed for it on your statement. You are not required to pay for it on Thursday.

Senior Trip 2016 Update: Thank you to everyone who filled out the survey. What we learned:
- The majority (with VERY few exceptions) of athletes are planning to travel as a family, and not as a single athlete;
- Most people are comfortable with a deposit by November 30th to ensure commitment.
The committee met again on Sunday night. We’ve been able to do some detailed cost analysis on flights, hotels, etc. To-date, the favoured option is California. However, the competition we are considering requires that the athletes book at one of their partner hotels. Our preferred hotel is NOT one of the partner hotels, so we are trying to work through that. Please give us another week or so to make sure we can sort out the accommodation road block. If it works out, it will be April 13-20 in Anaheim and we will be attending the American Open competition. If the hotel issue cannot be resolved, we may have to go back to re-evaluating other destinations. I realize this is a process, and people are waiting for final confirmation, but I do not want to “pull the trigger” and have people book flights and vacations and then us having to change or reschedule. So please, thank you for your patience while we figure out some more details!
